About co-re.partners

co-re.partners is a Paris-based fundraising advisory firm helping tech startups navigate their capital raises. The team manages multiple simultaneous fundraising processes, acting as an intermediary between founders and a broad network of investors - funds, LPs, and angels. For each mandate, they run a targeted outreach process across hundreds of investors, managing the full cycle from first contact to signed term sheet.

The Challenge

co-re.partners was running their entire operation out of a single Notion database. All investor contacts - funds, LPs, angels - lived in one flat table with no structure to distinguish between them. For each new fundraising mandate, the team would manually add columns to track outreach status, priority, and context for that specific deal. With several mandates running in parallel, each with lists of hundreds of investors to contact, the system had hit its limits.

Three problems needed solving:

No CRM foundation. Notion is not a CRM. There was no email sync, no shared visibility on who had spoken to whom, no way to search interaction history, and no automation possible. The team was doing everything manually - tracking replies, logging updates, managing follow-ups - in a tool not designed for it.

Multi-deal complexity. The same investor can be relevant for multiple mandates simultaneously. The existing flat structure made it impossible to track the same contact across different deals without duplicating data or losing context. There was also no clean way to see, at a glance, which investors had been contacted for which deal and where each stood.

No outbound infrastructure. All outreach was done manually - individual emails, LinkedIn messages, WhatsApp. There was no sequencing, no tracking of open rates or replies, and no connection between outreach activity and the contact database.

Our Approach

Novlini delivered the project in two phases over a few weeks, starting with the CRM foundation before activating the outbound layer.

Phase 1 - Attio CRM Setup and Migration

Full data model design for a fundraising advisory workflow. The key structural decision: a dedicated Investors custom object, distinct from Companies and People, to model the investor universe as it actually works - funds with multiple investment vehicles, GPs with separate LP relationships, sector and stage focus, geographical preferences, ticket ranges, and lead/co-investor role.

Each fundraising mandate is tracked as a Deal in Attio, with a dedicated pipeline and status stages tailored to the fundraising cycle: contacted, followed up, meeting booked, interested, passed, investing. The same investor record can be linked to multiple deals simultaneously, with deal-level status tracked independently - solving the core multi-mandate problem without duplicating records.

Notation database migrated and cleaned: investor contacts imported with taxonomy applied, deduplication handled, and legacy flat structure replaced by the relational model.

Gmail sync activated for the full team, giving shared visibility on all interactions. Each investor record now shows last interaction date, email history, and which team member is the relationship owner.

Phase 2 - Outbound Integration

Lemlist connected to Attio as the email sequencing layer. Investors can be enrolled directly from Attio into Lemlist sequences without leaving the CRM. Campaign status (sent, replied, interested) syncs back to Attio automatically, surfacing engaged investors in a dedicated hot leads view.

Technology Stack

  • Attio - CRM, investor database, multi-deal pipeline management (replaces Notion)

  • Lemlist - outbound email sequencing, connected to Attio

The Results

co-re.partners went from a flat Notion database with no automation to a structured CRM with multi-deal pipeline management and outbound sequencing live.

  • Investor database structured - dedicated Investors object with sector, stage, geography, and ticket attributes

  • Multi-deal architecture live - same investor tracked across multiple mandates with independent deal-level status

  • Full interaction history visible - Gmail sync giving shared team visibility on all investor communications

  • Outbound connected to CRM - Lemlist sequences enrollable from Attio, status syncing back automatically

  • Legacy Notion database migrated - investor contacts imported and cleaned into the new data model

"Novlini was professional, organized, and delivered exactly what we needed. They helped us move from a messy Notion setup to a clean, functional CRM that actually works for how we operate. The Attio implementation was smooth and the team was always available to answer our questions."

Why It Matters

Fundraising advisory is one of the most relationship-intensive workflows in finance. You are managing hundreds of investor relationships simultaneously, across multiple mandates, with the same contacts often relevant to several deals at once. A flat database breaks immediately once you have more than one active mandate.

The architecture that works here is not a sales CRM bolted onto a different use case. It is a purpose-built investor relationship layer - where the investor is the stable record, the deal is the context, and the status is tracked at the intersection of both. That is what Attio makes possible, and what Novlini built.
