About Trendly
Trendly operates at the heart of the creator economy, managing complex partnerships with creators who have multiple channels, each governed by intricate contracts. Their biggest complaint was managing this complexity in Excel, and they needed a structured system to track performance and revenue accurately.
The Challenge
Trendly had no CRM. All sales and contract data was fragmented across various spreadsheets, creating significant operational challenges:
No Central Source of Truth: Data was siloed and inconsistent, making it impossible to get a clear, unified view of creator relationships or contract terms.
Complex Contract Structures: A single creator could have multiple contracts with different end dates and revenue shares. Tracking this manually in Excel was inefficient and highly prone to error.
Lack of Scalability: The spreadsheet-based system was unmanageable and hindered their ability to scale operations and report on performance accurately.
Our Approach
We designed and built a new Attio workspace from the ground up, architecting it to serve as the central hub for all creator and revenue data.
Methodology: The best solution was to build a system that acted as a contract management tool. We engineered two custom objects, Contracts and Channels, and linked them to Attio's native objects to perfectly mirror Trendly's unique business logic.
The Stack: We connected Attio to BigQuery using Airbyte to establish a single source of truth for all revenue data.
Data & Automation: The hardest problem we solved was the "data product" challenge of linking multiple channels to multiple contracts. We implemented a "master record" system that automatically aggregates key data from sub-contracts, providing an at-a-glance view of the entire creator agreement.
